This is a walk-through on purchasing blockchain-based Aktionariat shares, sometimes referred to as blockchain shares. They are sold in the form of a token named Draggable SwissShore AG Shares (SSAS). This post will lead you step by step through the process of acquiring SSAS either with the Aktionariat Portfolio App (iOS, Android) or with any other WalletConnect compatible Ethereum wallet. The same procedure is also applicable to other issuers that make use of our tools to create a market for their tokenized equity.

When dealing with cryptocurrencies and tokenized shares, you will need to create and manage your own wallet.  Although our tools support a number of different wallets and standards, this guide focuses specifically on setting up and using the Aktionariat App. The app is the recommended wallet when interacting with our toolset. It has been designed to give you the easiest, clearest user experience when buying tokenized shares.  If you instead choose to use the MetaMask browser extension, or any other WalletConnect compatible wallet, please refer to their documentation for setup instructions.

If you choose to pay with cryptocurrencies when buying shares through the Aktionariat Brokerbot, you will need to have a cryptocurrency wallet with the necessary amount of funds in it.  Please make sure that you have already installed and finished setting up the Aktionariat app, which creates a wallet automatically for you during its initial launch. Please refer to the “Setting Up Your Wallet” tutorial if you haven’t already done so.  This guide will walk you through the steps of transferring Ether (ETH) to your wallet. Aktionariat AG Shares (DAKS) can be bought using ETH or CryptoFrancs (XCHF). The types of accepted cryptocurrencies may differ by the company selling its shares, but the process to transfer them to your wallet before a purchase is identical.  

There are 3 ways to have an account in the Aktionariat App that has the necessary funds to purchase shares:  

• Transferring funds from an exchange or from another wallet 
• Importing an account that already has ETH into the app 
• Buying ETH in our app through or partner Bity.com
